Movie Theater Heroes of the Sky: The Mighty 8th Air Force

Started watching this morning (when I should have been mowing) and really hooked.

I have it taped, so will watch the rest later.

But this is an excellent documentary. Great footage and great storytelling with some of the pivotal figures in history who started their careers in the Mighty 8th.

Nat Geo. May have to stream it... as I think it's done broadcasting for a while. It is worth watching.

Sounds like a sure thing. Grandpa,mom's side, was 8th Army Air Force. I was not the first person in my family to see Kiel, Germany; I was the first on the ground. We have a suspicion he married in England and left her there. After he died Grandma admitted they never got married. My othe Grandpa, dad's side, was Armored but I don't recall Corps or Division. Alzheimers finally got rid of his nightmares from freeing POW camps.
