Hi from the part of Arizona where it is still cold & 5000 ft high

Hi, I am George. I live in Northern Arizona. I have been lurking here on and off for a while and decided to join. spent some time in the Corp in the 80's. I shoot an 30- 06 and a .308, but recoil is doing me in as I age. I have a gas gun, but the wind kills that 50-69 grn round at distance. I have been looking at a 6.5 x 06 but the more I read in the Berger Manual the more I think maybe a .260 Rem or a 6.5 creedmoor is for me. That is how I found this place again - just looking for stuff on the .260. I like to hunt. Not too much competition where I live so I mostly shoot alone. Anyways when I shoot my biggest competition is myself.

Anyways - you got a cool place, hope I can add something from time to time and learn more!
