Highest BC bullet available?

Re: Highest BC bullet available?

You guys should have a duel and end this. But it would probably never happen because there would be too much arguing on what bullets to use and how that bullet doesnt have a real bc and rifling twist is wrong and........

I saw that Noel.

Good of you to take it down, that is something the 2 of them will have to work out and you'd be better off passing that kind of info with a call.

My best friend had a few of these in storage. So we loaded up a batch of .338 Lapua and .338-.378 Weatherby to see how fast we could safely push them without any ejector marks on the casings, cratering primers or sticky bolts. We used 108 gr of Ramshot LRT in the Lapua and 110 gr in the WBY. I can’t remember the 338 Lapua velocities exactly but the .338-.378 Weatherby (26” factory barrel) was around 3060 fps measured with our magneto speed. My other WBY with it’s 30” Krieger Barrel was a good 90fps faster @ 3150. Our SD’s for all of the loads were between 4 and 5. ES ~ 9 fps.

Plug in that 1.358 G1 B.C. into any good calculator. The max supersonic range is ~ 3,680 yards & 3060 fps. The 3150 loads… 3801 YARDS!!!

I wish I could find more of these online somewhere. I know by posting this my chances of finding even a single box just went down 1000%! 🤦‍♂️
