Guys,

I'm evaluating a new stock and thought I would post some pics. The bipod legs retract into forend when folded. I like it more than I thought I would but figured this would be the place for immediate feedback. Wondering if anyone can i.d. any off the cuff concerns just by looking at the pics.

Thanks

Re: Hinds Bipod Stock

Its as fast as a Harris coming and going...yank & fold. 1st prototypes were fairly static, the one in the pics cants. The legs are stout and adjustable. I can't quote all the lengths but he's got a wide range covered, including the ability to screw (fairly quickly) extensions on that get to a sitting/kneeling position(=one bipod with extensions vs. multiple pods).

I went back and found the old thread. A few more opinions came out then when money was discussed. I guess I got a hold of this after his website was let go. I haven't really talked to him about cost. What I did tell him is that the market is full of great stocks. I do like the stock but I really like the bipod. I wonder if any of the big stockers could machine out their forends to accept the Hinds and what would be the reception then (MCM A5 with this-sign me up!).

"Organic" makes my stomach hurt. Do you mean organic like chewing cardboard or organic like artsy-fartsy Beretta curves?

I'll break the stock down tonight and post better pics. I'm impressed with the construction on the bipod and for the moment more concerned about feedback on the system rather than cost (I really don't think prices are set yet).

Re: Hinds Bipod Stock

Again, I like the construction on the bipod (mono too)...simple, smart and stout. There's nothing wrong with his stock, but I sure would like to see the bipod incorporated into a McM, Manners or HS stock.

Here are the last of the pics.

"Install process for end user"

I don't think he's there yet. That's probably why he's getting into the stock business because of limited availability of stocks with enough forend width to accomodate the bipod.
