Looks like everything worked out in the end! Good job! From your pics I can tell exactly where that is. Spent lots of time out there working.

Great looking rifle.
I am just returning to WA from WY I dropped 4 does with my .243 not too far from Gillette, near Wright in the Thunder Basin National Grasslands. BIL shot a buck at 50 yds in the head with a 7mm RUM surprised how well the head held up.

Good Deal. My wife and i just return 2 weeks ago from hunting in Gillette (when it poured on Saturday - first rain since July)

I took a nice 175" mulie and she took a 14" goat. Great time and a LOT of deer. Grass was unusually tall, though. Taller bipods were priceless.

Great lookin animal were there a bunch out there?
We usually hunt by elk mountain alittle south of ya

at least some one had alittle luck!

Re: his years pronghorn harvest (gillette wy)

in 3 days i bet we saw 2000+ goats. ive never seen anything like that. in indiana when you are driving and see a whitetail even if its a small doe you say (theres a deer) in gillette you say (there is a goat) for about 1 day then you just assume everyone sees them or are looking at a diffrent group

Re: his years pronghorn harvest (gillette wy)

you're exactly right. We started off saying "there's a goat" but that got real old fast. We didn't go 15 minutes without seeing a goat. We went with an outfitter - P Cross Bar - can't say enough good things about them. Top notch all the way!!!
