How can you tell the difference between this and an Hk45C that had had a threaded barrel added? Is there a difference in the serial numbers? I have one coming this week and would like to be able to tell the difference.

Check the serial number on the barrel and see if it matches the serial number on the frame and slide, all 3 will match if it came from the factory as a tactical.
The threaded barrels you buy from HK to add to a normal HK45c have no serial number on them.
