Finally got around to shooting my HMR PRO 6.5 today. Conditions were pretty terrible as the wind was pretty steady at 5mph and gust up to 10-15. Made it difficult to hold steady and my target was moving with the wind as well.

enough excuses, I had loaded 5-3shot groups of 140 Berger vld and 5-3shot groups of 142 smk for a total of 30 rounds. I set up at approximately 90 yards and it took me 5 shots to get on paper and then one more to measure within the reticle and get close to poa.

The remaining 8-3 shots groups were all under .7 with the average under .5 the 142 smk shot the best with the best group and also the best group of my life at a .2

I continued up the ladder in charge weight tonight loading more 3 shot groups since I had zero pressure signs as well as 5 shot groups of the best smk and Berger’s from today’s shooting.

very satisfied with this rifle so far and I believe it has great potential

I have the HMR in 6.5. I was hell bent on getting the Pro in 6.5, until I shot the one I own. Owner gave me 5 rounds of factory ELD Match in 140 grain. Walked out and stacked 5 on top of each other. Bought it asap.

I have a couple of different loads with mine that are just stupid accurate. The VLD Target in 140 has been the best by far. I had one damn flyer out of a 5 shot group yesterday that would have been the difference between sub .3 moa and ended up being .464". SD's below 5 too.

When it's time to replace this barrel, I'm not sure if I'll replace it with custom or get the Pro. They are damn fine rifles.

I got the Pro in 308 though. Still working a load up on her. 175's over Varget haven't produced the best groups yet. I bought some 168 ELD Match's to try and see if I can pull better accuracy. I have it shooting just a hair over .5 MOA with single digit SD's, but I know it's capable of more.

Bergara definitely has their barrel making game down pat. Mine performed exactly as yours did. My only wish is that they offered heavier contours for rebarreling. At $500 for a rebarrel it’s a bargain but you’ll have to stick with factory contour which is a shade light for my tastes.

With the popularity of this gun today I’m hoping to see someone making prefit barrels down the line. There is definitely a building demand.

I shot this group with my HMR using S&B 140gr FMJ.

This is probably a lucky group. I spent 10 minutes to set up to shoot this. Going over the fundamentals I learned on here, dry firing on the target. Then I shot it. I thought I hit it once then my other rounds were off target somewhere. I was amazed.
