This is my 1946 8mm Turkish Mauser. There is a hole on the cheek weld with what looks like a brass rim around it. Nobody I know seems to know what it's for. Can anyone here tell me what this was used for??

How exactly do you break the bolt down with it?? I took my bolt out and I apologize, but I just don't get it lol. Do you have to take part of the bolt apart yourself and then that aids in getting to the firing pin or something??
