I have a savage 300 WM. and will be installing a heavy Sheilen match select barrel in a few months. I have been considering purchasing a holland muzzle brake for the new barrel to reduce recoil but are there better brakes with a similar price range approx. $100??

I have a Holland QD brake on my 300WM. I have not tried other brakes. I can say that my 300wm with the QD brake recoils less than my son's .270 win in the same rifle. I would guess it's about the equivalent of a .243.
There is a guy here on the Hide in Idaho that makes a brake that looks *VERY* similar to the Holland.
