Hey, does anyone know how to make homemade ballistic gel that will not melt during the day or does all gel melt? I've been to a few sites that sell it and it's 120-200 dollars for a block!

I would love a recipe for this. I went into my local gun shop and asked one time and they looked at me like I was a blithering idiot.
That's what I used for my daughters science fair project last year at school. Found a recipe using the Knox on YouTube and went from there. Bought a Tupperware bread container from Walmart to use as a mold. Don't forget to spray it good with no stick cooking spray. Then the ballistic gelatin slides right out. Her project was to determine wether a FMJ or jhp would go further. Came up with some great pics and data also. She won the county science fair! Gotta love the south.

im sure you can make smaller batches by reducing the volumes.
i would add teh cinnamon oil stuff that mythbusters talks about to remove the foam vs skimming it but thats up to you.

I have not been able to find it on myth hater site going to pick up some supplies tomorrow so if someone could post a link that be awesome.
