Rifle Scopes Homemade turret conversion from Mil/MOA to Mil/Mil

So I stumbled across a video that illustrated A homemade way to convert a scope with Mil dot reticles and MOA turrets into a Mil turret scope...Well, kinda, almost.
Has anybody remarked their 1/4 MOA graduated turrets by painting or otherwise obscuring the 1/4 MOA "click" adjustments and remarking them to 1 Mil every 14 clicks? and 1/2 Mil every 7 clicks?
Granted 1/2 Mil minimum is a pretty coarse adjustment but, it could be close enough for shooting steel and such.

sell the scope and buy a mill scope it does not work run it in MOA or buy a Mill scope it is not close enough when you start to streach out the distances.
