With the interest in the Matrix 150gr bullet and higher BC, why haven't the other manufacturers been able to duplicate the Hoover 136gr bullet?
130-140gr seems the best balance in a 53-55gr water case capacity. The heavier 150gr seems better suited to 6.5/284 loadings.
Lapua touted the 136gr Scenar L as the next best thing, claiming a BC of .600 G1, yet it falls way short of that. Since Brian Litz tested the Hoover projectile and published his results, why haven't the other buller makers taken note of Hoover 136gr's BC of .614 and form factor of 0.888.
The advantage of 260 is light recoil and good ballistics, compared to 308. If we shift to heavier bullets may as well switch to 7mm08?
Love my T3 Sporter in 260. Just rechambered my Tikka 595 Master Sporter to 6.5 SLR. Promising results so far. Still looking for the magic bullet...
