Prayers for all those folks. Bad bad news.

My folks do a lot of mission work on OK. They left Sat AM to head home.
The folks they left are right in some bad stuff

My folks are in the back end of the top of it up in IA. Just rain for them.

Mtns here due 18” of snow by tomorrow and an inch or two for us.

I’ll take the snow all day every day. The tornadoes. Fuck that.

I'd say there was more damage from hail than the tornadoes. There were quite a few nados, but most were small and all of them moved fast. The biggest ones seemed to hit away from populated areas, with minimal damage done compared to what was predicted. Now the temps are dropping (it went from 80 to 60 in a matter of minutes), the threat is only rain and flooding. OK made out good considering what was expected. One of the weathermen stated it was like May 2013 x5 when predicting the severity of the storms. Glad he was wrong.

I just landed in Denver. It’s 1/4 mile vis and snowing.

No big announcements on the national news pages of major destruction in south KS, OK, or TX from these storms.
Either thats good or they just suck at reporting.....

Some talk of flooding to come. Glad the weather guessers were wrong

@Yasherka - iirc you are woodland park area?

Yeah, they were wrong. Hit the shelter at 4:30 am due to the tornado that "never happens in the early morning". Rain followed and now most low lying roads are shut down with up to 2 feet of water across them (I40 was closed for 2 miles out near El Reno due to water). More tornadoes through central and eastern OK this morning as well. They got this one wrong, thankfully damage was minimal although some homes are destroyed.

We just missed a chunk of it driving home from Pueblo yesterday. It dropped so much hail the hills were white like it snowed.

A slow waiter, 10-20 minutes of our time wasted, was just enough time to miss the storm, and a fatal head on collision. I hate being first on scene to these things. We were about 20 cars back. The Ambulance left the scene slow with its light on. I said a prayer for the deceased who had taken their last ride on this earth. and thanked the lord for our slow waiter, and reflected well on leaving him a nice tip anyway.

Fucking Al Gore needs to get in here with his global warming bullshit. It's almost fucking June and it's cold as fuck here!
    RIGHT?!?!?

This gloom and rain bullshit is killin' my standard Sunny southern California weather patter in May!

But, come on, I thought you knew global warming causes global cooling which causes global warming which causes global cooling.
