Hornady 140gr ELD Match

I was wondering if it was possible to push my 140gr eld match to go 2950fps out of a 6.5 creed 28” barrel 1:8 twist

What are you getting currently? I hit pressure at 2820 in a 26" would make me think top out in a 28" is somewhere around 2900.

2756 in a 22”. No pressure signs and very accurate.

Definitely possible, especially if you try it with R26 or R16 although you might be on the edge of pressure...

Thanks for all the feed back. I’m currently shooting 147gr eld with 41.5gr of h4350 which currently gets me 2834fps with no pressure signs out of a 28” barrel. I use to shoot 140gr amax at first but didn’t chrono it back then so was wondering if anyone has done it with 140eld match.

Might try a slower powder if you were to try. Not sure 4350 is optimal for a 28". Maybe for a 130 or smaller but if you have a 28" barrel doubt you are trying to give up alot of BC.
