I was thinking of trying these in my GAP-10 308 and had a few questions about them.

how is the transonic stability?

are they jump sensitive?

what is the G7 BC?

has anybody had much luck with these in a semi-auto?

Re: Hornady 178 Match HPBT

I can only answer the last question, and the answer is 'yes'.

LC match brass
CCI200
42.8gr Varget
178AMAX
COAL 2.805"
Light crimp with Lee factory crimp die

Or, reduce the charge to 42.5 and the COAL to 2.785, same results.

I have NOT tried jamming or going with really small jumps. Both of these loads fit any magazine but perform spectacularly well in bolt guns too.

This load works great in Noveske 18" N6, SCAR 17, and bolt guns. There's a higher node at around 44gr but what's the point with accuracy like this at a mild load?

Noveske and SCAR are sub MOA and I've gotten some 5-shot one hole groups at 200 with a bolt gun (I've gotten this accuracy at 100 yards with different loads but this is a first for me at 200).

This matches FGMM 175 7.62NATO velocity and may improve on accuracy slightly.

I'm hooked on the AMAX line now - spectacular results with the 178 in .308 and 208 in .300WM.
