Hey all...I just loaded a few hundred .45 ACP rounds with no problem....I just tried to load .223 and set everything up well...I swapped out the primer feed to accommodate the small primers, and when a piece of brass gets sized, it moves to the priming station, and the primers do not seat all the way...I cant figure it out, everything is tight and installed properly.....It seems as though the button that seats the primer needs to be a few thousandths longer...Anyone else have this problem, and how did you solve it? If you don't mind, don't recommend another press! I need to hear from people with the same experience on the same press...I do have other presses that are single stage, but I'm trying to load quicker! Thanks for your time!

Your probably going to have to push a little harder when seating primers. Or try a different brand. Some primers are just a tighter fit.

I have the lnl and on certain combos of brass and primers I have to push on handle with one hand and pull on the press with the other to fully seat some primers.

I had the same problem, and it only cost me $.10 to fix it...
Look under your priming ram and check to see if it has worn a divot in the press frame where it makes contact. If so, place a dime on the frame to cover this spot, making the primer ram hit the dime instead of the frame. Prime a few cases and see if that fixes your seating depth problem. If so, a dab of RTV on the dime will keep it there.

Same thing happened with mine after 2+ years of consistent use. I used a nickel because I had it in my pocket but YMMV...

Holy crap!!! The dime, or Nickle trick worked!!! I am totally impressed and stoked! I was so frustrated that I had to walk away after spending an hour messing with the damn thing, that something so simple and easy never occurred to me! Thank you guys very much for your experience and knowledge! I really appreciate it that I am back in business! Thanks again, Matt D.

This is great info. I see very few negative things written about the Hornady LnL AP, but when I do, it nearly always has to do with primer seating. Nice to know in some cases it's an easy fix.
