I recently got the OAL guage, Comparator and the .300 Win Mag modified case, or so I thought. I opened the case and the case is for "300 RCM". Similar shoulder as my win mag, but much shorter case. I just want to make sure I am not missing something and that the modified case should be similar in dimensions to my actual cases just with the tapped base for the OAL guage?

They sent you the wrong case. When I got my .300 Win mag modified case it was an actual .300 Win mag case.
