I am just getting into loading for rifle. I currently load .40S&W and 9mm. I have a pile of factory Hornday TAP casings from my 700P in .308Win. I am wondering what is that black coating on the casings and has anyone used them for reloading? Are the cases brass under that coating? Would the trim, chamfer, and deburr just as good as brass or would the be hard on the cutters?
