Re: Horus scope glass
The glass itself isn't too bad.Less than Nightforce, better than the cheap scopes.I was able to do well on a match stage where I had to distinguish and shoot the correct miniature playing cards at 100Y with my 8-26 Predator.
They don't dial/track the best.Once sighted in your'e better off not touching the turrets,LOL.The Horus scopes I have left are on 22's and air rifles, holdovers only, great fun though.
Interestingly enough I used the same 8-26 that's now on my air rifle to shoot 3' steel disks all the way out to a mile when it was on my 30 cal, using holdovers.Try that with any other reticle without dialing.Aint gonna happen which attests to the versatility of the HV system.
I love their reticles and have a higher end scope with H-25 reticle and another on the way with a H-58.Having a scope that dials correctly and being able to use the reticle for holdovers all the way to the edge of the field of view of the scope is "too me" the best of both worlds, ultimate versatility.
The worst thing about them is their warranty.Big fail for Horus Vision. It's sad really. If they would have made their scope with better internals at a decent price with a lifetime unconditional warranty they would have won the scope wars,LOL.
