Re: How accurate can you make a 10-22?
Burris Signature Zee rings will give you 20 MOA on the 30mm and more on 1'' rings.

That is one sweet looking rig. What model stock is that? Mine has a thumbhole but don't know if they make it anymore. Looks alot like the Lazzeroni. My other with VQ barrel has a B&C thumbhole and it doesn't fit me at all.

Thanks Dennis,
It is a sweet shooter too. I like your 40X RFs'. The stock is a McMillan 10/22 Sporter in 75% Black & 25% Dark Grey. A lot of places carry them in the McMillan pebblegrain "basic" Black, but beware of what prices are charged.

Would sure shoot my other rig more if stock fit me. That and a threaded reciever along with a Kidd might make it somewhat enjoyable. Bought it assembled with 4x16 Weaver from brother for $250 so can't bitch much. He bought it complete and really never shot it either.
Thanks in advance.

I'm using a
MOA 10/22 Replacement Receiver, which is cast 17/4 SS. The MOA Receivers' are nice, but they aren't perfect: The tops of the receivers sometimes have a "receiver hump" on top as a result of negative mold erosion over time, and the receiver pin holes are sometimes off axis from each other. The 3/4-15 threading is rough too. However, no one else makes a SS 10/22 receiver that has front and rear lugs (so you can free-float the barrel) that takes 10/22 parts interchangably.
You can buy MOA Receivers direct from MOA, which is what I recommend. By buying direct from MOA you can have Richard (MOA Owner), check your receiver to be sure that the receiver holes are in-line and that the receiver top is even, or at least has a mimimal "hump"/bump.

The only other manufacturer of steel 10/22 receivers that can incorporate the rear lug like the MOA Receiver uses is

You can get the receiver with rear lug or without, and a flat (zero) rail on top or the "plain" top to accept any base available for the 10/22. These billet-machined, CNC'ed actions are badass with a price to match - $799.00 for steel and aluminum and $849.00 for SS.
I spoke to Larry Huettel (L.H.P. owner) a couple of years ago before I built my MOA 10/22, and he said that all his parts are proprietary, so Ruger and aftermarket parts will not fit the L.H.P. receiver or bolt or vice versa. They seem to be the ultimate 10/22 receiver, though. At that time L.H.P. was only building full rifles - mostly magnums, but he will build a .22LR if you order it.

Although it is sort of clunky-looking, I like the precision of the
Kidd Supergrade Receiver, but Kidd refuses to make a canted rail version. Nor will Kidd produce a plain top version of the the Supergrade (which would make it possible to add a canted rail for long distance shooting). I hope this helps.
