How critical is bolt selection?

In planning my build I've started looking at bolts. My understanding so far is that it is preferable to get a bolt with the barrel.

The only part I have decided on so far is the barrel, which I purchased from White Oak. They told me so long as I buy a bolt that is mil-spec I'll be okay. They did recommend I buy from them, and most likely I will.

Any other opinions on this?

I think one of the most interesting bolts available right now is Sharps Relia-bolt. They recently began selling them direct and dropped the price from $150 to $79.99....I bought a couple and am very impressed so far. I also have JP enhanced bolts, several LWRC ACB bolts, and some young manufacturing bolts..... All flawless.
