How do I neck down 300 SAUM to 7 SAUM?

Hello everyone.
I am very intrigued by the 7 SAUM. I have discovered 7 SAUM brass is VERY hard to find, but Norma 300 SAUM brass is more available. I have done A LOT of research but my searches only leave me more confused as I have read about quite a few differing opinions on what is, and is not needed to do it successfully.

I currently reload for my 6.5 CM. I use a Redding Type S Full Length Sizing Die with neck Bushing and I have been very successful using just that.
If I find regular 7 SAUM brass I plan on reloading the same way.

My question is this:
If I just go with 300 SAUM brass, what is the simplest, most straightforward approach to necking it down?
I have read about everything from using a regular FL sizing die with bushing to resize in one stoke, all the way to doing it in several steps with body dies, neck dies, FL dies and neck turning, hence my confusion.

If there is a detailed resource I have missed please point me in that direction.. If not I could really use some clarifcation on what dies to purchase and how I should plan this process to work with 7 SAUM brass, or necking down 300 SAUM brass.

Thank you!! :)

My course of action would to use a bushing die with a couple of bushings so I could neck down in two steps. I wouldn't be surprised if neck turning wasn't required, annealing also. PITA but not the end of the world. After all that work I'll bet you take good care of your brass.
Bertram claims to have 9200 in stock. I've never ran it but I would try it before Nosler. Necking up 6.5 Saum might be another and easier option.

Thanks for the help. I have been eyeing Bertram brass. I will try 100 pieces from them first and do a conventional FL Size with bushing and see what kind of results I get! I hope their brass is good.

You will be taking roughly 335 down to about 315 neck diameter. You can do it in 2 steps, but you will likely get funneling. I would do it in 3 steps even though it is a pain in the ass. It’s always better to size brass a little at a time. After the first firing the brass will be fine though
