For the most part Stan the BR-snobs defacto answer to the re-lubing question is, "why bother?" They don't believe it has any effects good or bad. They are restricted to using factory ammo and lube so they may just be lazy. For the part I have never messed with re-lubing or de-lubing a 22lr round. If I am shooting in a match I make sure I have at least 50 to 100 rounds of the lot of ammo I am using down the bore before shooting for record. isaac
I have been using Fed 900 for years but my supply is getting low so I am trying out new ammo. The older 900 seems almost dry but the new match ammo (Federal, Wolf, Eley).. I am trying seems to be very lubed up. I use it for my Sig P226 conversion and RRA dedicated .22. Thanks for the replies...
The old stuff has what I believe they call a copper wash lube which is like a dry wax. Something like you would get on CCI mini-mag ammo. With AW/hall .22 I would use something like Wolf or SK that is heavily lubed. The pistol and AR-conversion the less lubed stuff would be fine. Just my .02 Isaac
