I bought a TL3 barreled action a while back and now im trying to swap barrels. Using an 18" breaker bar didn't break the old barrel loose. I twisted pretty hard on it, I'd say about like breaking the lug nuts on my 1/2 ton truck loose. I could twist harder for sure but I'm scared ill damage the action. How hard can i twist on a rear entry wrench?

Please and Thank You
Got an exterior action wrench finally and got the barrel off. It took my 180 pounds at the end of 3 feet of handle to break it loose but I got it off.
It had what looked like lapping compound in the threads. I didn't have my phone or I would have taken pictures. It all turned out though because the PRC barrel shoots like a dream.

100 ft lbs is a common torque for shouldered barrels. If it's your first time to do it, you're likely to second guess how hard it actually is.

I sometimes use a cheater on mine. You just have to be careful and not put any off-axis force onto it....you want pure rotation.
i.e. - if you're pushing down on the end of the cheater bar with your left hand, support the part of the wrench where it attaches to the rear entry wrench at the action.

Because the barrel is clamped in a vise, I always am weary about applying such a torque/bending force onto the action threads if I don't support the wrench at the rotation axis.

I hope that makes sense!
