I can't seem to find any info on this....I am making a mount to hold a spotting scope and a Leica LRF. How much clearance do I need to give the Leica to make sure I am not obstructing the beam coming back to the sensor? Is it just a single line of sight from the target to the sensor or will it receive better if there is more clearance around the sensor? I know light pretty much travels in a straight line but I don't want to mount the spotting scope too close and make it harder to get readings from way out. A lot of the mounts I see have a fairly large space between the two and wondering if this is the reason. Anyone have any info on this?
