How much should l spend

Hey guys, I'm going to buy a scope mount for my Arken ep5. It's going on AR-10 if it matters. So this is a $500 scope, maybe Great value but not actually that much money. Would that change what scope amount you would put on it?

Would you put a $300 scope mount on a $500 scope? Of course you want a good quality scope mount no matter what, but how much would you spend?

I was looking at the Midwest industries Quick release mount. Last I looked it was around 150.

Yes, spend what is needed to lock that scope to the rifle. If you feel that a $150 mounts the scope solid, fantastic grab it. Some don’t like QD mounts but I do. Get a cantalever mount. Figure what cant you need, but make sure it is solid. It does not need to cost $500.
