Bigdude here, I am quite particular of my sling attachment points. I prefer bottom-forend and bottom-buttstock for sling attachment. But with an XLR Buttstock only side attachment is available. I discovered a convenient fix to this problem. XLR's buttstocks have two threaded holes on the bottom for a short picatinny rail (most likely designed for mono-pods), these holes are 10-32. If you purchase a Magpul M-Lok QD Sling Mount (pictured below), the holes on the Magpul flush cup line up with the ones on the bottom of the XLR buttstock. The only thing you will need, in addition to the Magpul M-Lok QD Sling Mount, is two socket cap screws in 10-32 x 5/16" (please note that the socket cap screws that come with the QD Sling Mount are 10-24 and will not fit).
