how to post pics

I know, I know this has been posted a bunch of times, but I don't use photo bucket or other stuff. Can I just not download pics from my phone to my PC desktop or something and just attach them to a post?

Yes, it's called "Attach files". Look in the lower left corner. There is also a pictogram that looks like mountains in a square at the top of the reply box.
