How to remove end-cap on HS-precision stock ?

I have a HS-prec stock on my Remington 700p MLR. Anybody know how to remove the rubber endcap ? I cant find any screws. Is it just to pull hard enough ?

search for a guy named salmonaxe. he did an adjustable mod on ah HS stock like mine in the below photo and took pictures, i cant recall how it came off, but the write up shows it

The butt pad is glued on. A little heat from a heat gun and a tap with a rubber mallet and it will pop off. It does not take much heat to warm the glue.

I didnt have a heat gun available so I did the exact opposite. I put the stock in a freezer for a few hours, used a rubber mallet and small chisel and was able to pop off the pad. Any excess glue was sanded off with fine grit paper on a palm sander..
