It used to be fairly straightforward iirc, but that was before NFA gate last year.

A friend wishes to buy a suppressor from me. The suppressor is currently in my possession, on my trust.

Can someone enlighten me as to the process or direct me to the information I seek?

Thanks,

Technically he pays you first but the money changing hands is up to you. He fills out his form 4, sends $200 to ATF along with photo and finger prints. When he gets approved you can give him possession. If it is like buying from a dealer the ATF will send you his stamp, which I always find fucked up. It is mine send it to me and I will show it to the FFL.

Good call

I do get the basic economics of the transaction. :D

It's a close friend so I'm basically gifting this to him, its an old suppressor that doesn't get used anymore.
