Noob here and I plan on coming around moe as I near completionn of my 6.5 Grendel target AR, which is my first endeavor into target and distance shooting. Till then I have a nvd question.

I'm thinking of trading for a pair of PVS7-3. Owner says they are 6 yrs old. The little ID tag on bottom is missing and it doesn't have the manual.

How do I confirm the brand and generation?

They function well and come with head gear and bag.

What is market value range?
Thanks guys for any help and info.

If its gen 3 and works perfectly and no cracks in housing and major blems in tube, having a book or mfg ain't gonna change alot. If you can buy it right buy it. I've bought plenty and so have friends with no books and shit. People that really use the stuff don't care.

Yeah you're probably right. It doesn't really bother me but I would at least like to figure out the manufacturer so the next buyer can feel better about buying them.
The current owner says he thinks they are ITT's. The only thing I have to go on is the number stamped on the body of the unit which is 251591 and the owner saying he thinks they are ITT.

You can send them to us and we can take a look at them, purge and clean them. The intensifier tube will have MFG information on it as well. Feel free to PM, call (719) 325 8070 or send an email to [email protected]

However, I do agree with killswitch. However since your friend "thinks" its 6 years old. My major concern would be if the unit is autogated or not. That changed in 2006.

Thank you very much Camille. Being new to nvd's I've heard Modarmory come several times already.
I just might do that. I'm pretty particular with my stuff and want things right. Thanks.

Heck pop the back cap off of it and look at the cage code if you wanna see who's tube it is. Purge is cool and all but my good friend has one right now that don't have a lick of nitrogen in it and its fine. Has been for a while too.

If the tube is a more vivid dark green it's probly the older non autogated tube. If its yellowish light green its probly the autogated one. That's just going off of what I've seen in several sets.

Get em! No matter who made em! But.... Look on the housing for (U.S government property) there's a bunch of missing 7's out there.
