I just got a new to me Howa 1500 chambered in .223 and I’m looking for some information on it.
It has the heavy non threaded barrel and a Niko scope. The entire gun is dipped in the coyote camo. I can’t find the twist on the barrel anywhere?

You left out the most important thing...the caliber. Put a tight patch on a cleaning rod and count the turns as you move it in a foot.

I would send the serial number to Howa and ask them. Over the years, they have built 223 rifles with 1:8, 1:9, and 1:12 twist. I purchased a Mini 1500 about 5 years ago and it has a 1:8, which is right after they switched from 1:9.

I’ll give that a shot. Just figured I jump on here and see what I could find. I don’t believe this one is a mini. It has the 6.9” length bolt.
