I recently bought a used Howa 1500 243 win and I’m wanting to make a couple of changes to use it for target shooting. I’m not sure if it has a single stage trigger or if it has the 2 stage hact. I can’t say if the trigger has a bit of take up (slack) or if it’s just a 2 stage trigger because I’m not experienced with them. Is there any other way of differentiating one from the other?
I’m definitely gonna get a different stock/chassis. The KRG Bravo is the one that comes to mind but I’m definitely open to suggestions.
The barrel seems to be pretty darn good. I’m getting sub moa groups with factory Hornady whitetail 100gr ammo. If someone knows somewhere to get really good shouldered prefits a 6br looks like something to try out. I’ve always had Remington but heard so much about howa I decided to see first hand. I hope to turn this into a awesome target rifle with some direction from all the howa experts here on the Hide.
