This is a factory Howa action with the solid bolt knob. The solid bolt knobs can be upgraded by a gunsmith the hollow ones cannot.

Good looking rifle. This action appears to have originally been one the lightweights or alpine rifles. Its slabbed to remove weight, thus the reason for the odd appearance comments.
