Howa HCR

I don't here much talk about the chassis, is there any issues with them?

I was going to do a barrelled action in an oryx, seems like it might be cheaper and faster
Buying the howa in a chassis from the factory.

Any thoughts?

I just had my match HCR cerakoted.

I also have a backup HCR in black, and a stock HCR for work. They shoot great, do you have any questions in particular?

No question in particular, I have a howa know but not in a chassis.

I just started the thread because I haven't heard much about the HCR

And was considering it compared to the oryx and barrelled action.

Well the return to zero is spot on when the barreled action is removed and reinstalled. Plenty of mloc slots, I have an Arca rail on the fore end. It’s nice and trim, machining is really well done, and it is accurate. I like it better than my KRG Bravo. You can pick them up on occasion on eBay. I bought one for $350 and put a barreled action in it shoots great.

I noticed you have a barrel nut on the pictured rifle, no clearance problems?

Correct it is the Bighorn Arms nut Criterion sells with the Howa prefits. No clearance problems at all the forearm is relieved for clearance.
