HS Precision Detachable Magazine Assembly

I have a Remington .308 700P Light Tactical Rifle. The rifle came with an HS Precision stock. Does anyone know if the HS Precision detachable magazine assembly (part no. AP209-2 - SA, 308 or Similar) will install without any modification to the stock. I want an easy do-it-yourself solution to install a detachable magazine assembly. If this requires gun smithing, do you have other recommendations? I reached out to HS Precision over a week ago and they have not returned my call or emailed me.

I'm in the same situation. From what I've gathered you need fitting and relieving on areas based on the brand of assembly.

I put the earlier gen HS DBM in a takeoff 700P HS Precision stock and it dropped right in, no fitting required. I can not say if the new style HS DBM will drop in, but I would be surprised if it did not.

I installed a gen2 HSP DBM kit without any modification to the HS Precision stock I have. Only downside I see is the price of the mags. I think my 10 round mag was around $120.00. I really like the 4 round mag for hunting though.

I've installed two in HS stocks. One dropped right in, the other I had to remove a very small amount of composite to clear the latch. Nothing difficult about the modification.

My experience is the same as mjy65. Even if you have to fit it a dremmel, some patience and a cold beer is all you will need.
