I'm going to take a course at the Badlands range next year, and don't want to reload the 350+ shells that I would need. I saw that HSM makes 30-06 match grade ammo. Does anyone have any experience with their ammo in the 30-06?
No experience with their 30-06 ammo, but I have used their 9mm, 45ACP, 45LC, 5.56 police, .338 lapua and .308 match. Very consistent for factory ammo. I always went right to their factory to buy it and they are a legit company. They send out alot of ammo to private security, police, and foreign military and are always busy so they must be doing something right.
Not to bash HSM at all, they have a good reputation for producing quality ammo.
My question is if you have until "next year" to load 350 rounds, why not do it yourself? That's not a whole lot of time, I've sat through 300 rounds of hand trickled (manual trickler and balance) in a week. That drove me to buy an electronic trickler, but it's not totally unconscionable.
this is kind of late to this post, but yes. the 30-06 I have is loaded in 178 Amax and kicks ass. My rifle LOVES them. I ahve about 400 rounds and will sell some if you want to try it out. they are the law enforement (police ammo) series loaded at 2700fps.
