Hunting rifle gunsmith help

I was going through some posts a few weeks ago and read one about building a new rifle. In the post there was a link to a smith that had a very basic rifle that started at $1400 before any upgrades were made. I tried to find the post but haven't been able too. Does anybody know which post that was our which gun smithing company has that type of pricing?

Any help would be appreciated

That may have been for labor & you supply the parts.

I'm pretty sure it was for the rifle...i could be wrong thiugh....GAP would put a whole rifle together for $800. With customer supplied parts.

Check RWS gunsmithing. Seems their base precision rifle was about that for a base model
