New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Thanks stello I will primarily be hunting axis deer, mouflon and pigs. I would be confident taking a shot out to 600 yards. but most of the game that I take is in the 100-400 yard range. My last hunting trip the three deer I took were at 190,280 and 330 yards with my 6.5 Creedmoor.
The rifle and cartridge will perform great for that. Just keep in mind, it does tend to have a relatively shorter barrel life. Since it will be used as a hunting rifle, that is something I personally wouldn't worry too much about.
yes I understand it will have more recoil and a shorter barrel life but it’s a hunting rifle so I’m not to worried about that. Id assume that it will fight the wind better and have a lot more energy than a 6.5 Creedmoor which I would think would be advantageous over the Creedmoor.

No one shoots a heavier recoiling rifle better than a lighter recoiling rifle. Thats why USSOCOM is going from the 300 Win Mag to the 6.5 Creedmoor for long range guns.
