I'm going to start dipping for a side job. Not to make tons of money just to have fun and stay busy.

Question is how well wil it hold up? I think clear duracoat over it would work better.

Preparation of to be coated parts is king. Fixturing is near equal.

I used to do this as a business and all I can say is that if you are not trained to do it, Do Not try it yourself. It takes a lot of practice to get it right. As for the durability if the dipper uses good paints it will hold up great.
