I have a friend who is a active duty Battalion Quartermaster Sergeant in the Irish Army. He is wishing to travel to the US next summer with his extended family and tour the US. There intent is to catch up with friends around the US for formal and informal "grudge matches" & shooting events and competitions.
In order to bring his weapons with him, he needs to apply to the ATF, list every firearm as well as show
Form must be submitted with a valid hunting license from any U.S. state, or an invitation/registration to compete in a qualified competitive shooting event or exhibit firearms or ammunition at a qualified sports/hunting trade show. 27 CFR § 478.100
So I am looking for competitions in the US in the May-June 2014 time frame since most all hunting is preditor only at this time of year.
He will be coming to AZ and Wyoming and traveling with extended family in motorhomes around the US.
So if anyone has intel on long range competitions please let me know.
Camp Perry would be perfect, but the distance parts dont start until Aug.
