No, I didnt do the "box" test, just made changes where I needed them and the 8-32 SIII came thru with flying colors.
If I needed the group to go 4" it did it's job, 12", again, it did it's job, an example target I shot on sunday, had to rezero the scope after I made an adjustment to the scope and found it was shooting off paper @300yds, so I moved back to 100 and it was shooting 4" left, 16 clicks right and moved back to 300yds, the next 4 shots went right where they should be. Lets just say Im very happy I bought this scope.

Awesome scopes for the money, I have the 6-24 on a .338 and the 8-32 on a .260. Tracking and glass both excellent, the MOA reticule is also very good. Glad you are enjoying yours.

Nice to see a post on the Sightron III. Just bought a 6-24X from a buddy who wanted to upgrade to the 32X. BARGAIN priced, but it cost me a ton in the end...Got me interested in LR shooting.

Mines on my M1A now , but soon to be headed to a rem 700 .308 when my 20 moa bases, and new rings come in. I have three buddies with Sightrons. All three are LR shooters and are convinced these guys are about the best bang for the buck out there today.

I've always been a Leupold guy and have had 100% satisfaction with their glass on varmint and big game rifles. Probably guilty of being a Leupold snob. Looking down my nose at anything but a Leupold or higher end glass. The Sightrons have changed that opinion.

I'm taking a Basic LR course end of June in Oregon. The Sightron III is headed down with me on my Rem 700. I'm taking a 6.5-20X 30mm tube Leupold as my BACKUP!

We did some 300 yd shooting yesterday, late afternoon into dusk. With heavy overcast and occasion light showers. I was surprised how well the S III compared to my 6.5-20X Leupold. And as it got later I was able to discern reticle from target EASIER with the S III than my Leupold! THAT surprised me. This was both rifles...side by side at basically the same time and target. Hardly a Scientific test...but whatever works best for MY eyes is what wins the contest.

I have a few of the SIIIs, and have not had a problem one out of any of them. Mine have been completely accurate on tracking. My focus knobs seem to be easier to turn after a good bit of use.

WOW!!! After reading some posts of these Sightrons I think I have found my new scope. Was originally looking at a PST but now heavily looking at the S3. Now just need to figure out which one (6-24 or 8-32) and then which reticle. It's going on a 700 .308. 100-600 for hunting the. 100-1000 for target. Hunt mostly groundhogs. So I just can't decide.

I had a 6-24 SIII a couple years ago that was really great with optics and tracking too. The one thing I didn't like about it was the large size of the mildots. Has this been changed at all on the newer models? I'd definitely consider trying one again

That's what I've read as well that the mildots were large in size and that's why I was considering the dot with a crosshair. I have a range finder so ranging with the mildots is not a concern. Only making corrections would be.

I've got a 6x24 with moa reticle on a Rem 700 custom in 6.5cm, won our last two monthly local matches with it. Ordered the 8x32 with moa reticle, it just came in yesterday. It's going on the Rem 700 and the 6x24 is going on my Savage 12BVSS in .223.
