My son decided to start bow hunting last year at the age of 8 because it was just to easy with a rifle. He was not able to get one with his bow last year though he did have one duck his arrow and another hear him draw and run. This afternoon we had 9 does and a spike come in and he was able to close the deal with his Diamond Razor Edge and G5 Tekon II broadhead at 20yds on this doe. I don't know who was more excited, but there was alot of high fives going on.

Re: I have to brag a little

Hunting with a bow is way different than a rifle. Just being so close to an animal that does not know you are there is pretty cool. Good job and hopefully many more are in his future.

I can tell you that I will never forget all of the great times we are having together either. I can say that they sure do grow up fast. I never believed that until we had him, but it seems like yesterday he was just 3 or 4yrs old tagging along everywhere I went.
