I just ordered a a new 5.56 ar, and it has to have a flash hidr, or it will be considered a SBR. So I looking for a suppressor with a quick disconnect.Ive looked at alot of suppressors, but any body recommend one that maybe isnt as well known. Weight is a issue. thanx for any input

Re: I need a quick disconnect suppressor reccom.

I was going to say the same thing. I had the YHM Phantom quick diconnect hider pinned to my 14.5" barrel making it 16.2". I have the 30 cal Phantom hider (QD) on my R700 so I can use the Phantom suppressor (30 cal) on both.

We can install a TOMB or QD SAS muzzle brake which will allow for easy installation of the SAS Sentinel TI which weighs 10oz range. The suppressors start @ $725 and the muzzle brakes are $125 ea. We offer complete installation, barrel threading and member discounts. Contact us via email, pm or call for further assistance.

Re: I need a quick disconnect suppressor reccom.

Since the post is still near the top of the forum- we make a M4-SD that snaps onto a A2 flash hider.

The promo ad in the sig line involves an improved M4-SD II that combines a slightly improved mount, with a welded stainless and inconel suppressor for 5 DB's better performance (based on performance of our prototype).

It is probably the best value in 5.56 QD suppressors right now at $795 including the $200 NFA tax, so really you would have to compare it at $595 to products costing more than $1000 because none of the comparable products include the tax.

I didn't think the A2 flash hider was long enough to extend a 14.5 barrel to non-SBR status?

Re: I need a quick disconnect suppressor reccom.

You might want to double check the laws but that flash hider may also need to be permanently attached. Your barrel has to be at least 16" including hider (non removable). If it is removable, then it's still a short barrel.

Removable hiders are attached to barrels that are already 16" long.

That's the rule in Texas

True... we changed the forward to rear stop mechanism on the M4-SD II so longer devices can be compatible. We have a plan to make a upgrade flash hider that is 2.25" long as the next production run after the promo run.

That of course sucks for time to finish out your build so it might kabosh the value of that.

+ 1 on the YHM 762 SS Phantom. Great can for multiple hosts.
