Rifle Scopes I need scope suggestion....

So a little ground work is needed....I talked my dad into selling his leupold vx-iii 8.5-25 LR and using the cash to get a new Vortex Viper PST....Well you all know how that is working for me right about now. The rifle is a remington sendaro 300WM. It is a hunting rifle(mostly blind hunting so no packing)but he has some interest in shooting long range. I would like to hear any suggestions as to what scope I should buy(as we are 2 months away from deer season and it doesn't look like Vortex will deliver....)
I would like something in the mag range that he had...
I would also like it to be the same or better quality as his VX-iii. I can add some money to it, but a jump all the way to nightforce is to much...FFP is not a must...We have about 800 from his old scope.

Try to find a used IOR , only ones that had problems were the 3-18X42 FFP Older ones although I never had a problem with mine.

There are 2 IOR's in the for sale section now. About $700 each if I remember correctly.

There's a used Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50 for sale for $600 in the PX forums on here. Awesome scope, heckuva deal.

Otherwise, consider some of the following (ranging $500-$1k):

Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44/50 or 6.5-20x50
Nikon Monarch 4-16x50 or 5-20x50
Weaver SuperSlam 3-15x50 or 4-20x50
Weaver SuperSlam Euro " or "
Burris Black Diamond 4-16x50 or 6-24x50


Also be sure to visit SWFA's Sample List and try to pick up a used scope or demo scope to save some money.

Have the 6.5-20x50 on my SPR and its a great scope!! It replaced a Leupold that was on when I traded for it.

easy answer.
Bushnell FFP 6-24 tactical.
Comes in about 800 bucks, similar feature set to the PST except standard mil-dot and no zero stop.

Available now from good guys like Scott at liberty optics, SWFA and other hide supporters.

I have always know ziess for having great glass..for thoes of you that have them, how do they track?

What model is the bushnell tactical? How does it compare to the zeiss? I wish they both had something to nightforces "mlr" it is my favorite reticle...

I dont know much about the IOR, but i will try to do so reading.

What about the sightron siii?

I will take a look at swafa's sample list and see whats there thanks for the heads up on that.
