if you just cruise this section titled "bolt action rifles" and read and read and go back 10-20 pages and read and read you will find the answers to all the questions you want to ask as they have most certainly been asked at least once.
for example, look for a thread called "savage or remington" and you will learn about why people like one over the other. there are threads on tikka and howa and more rifles than you will see in an armoury posted on the pages of this site. help yourself to any of that and then if you have a more specific request, post it.

Go back to this (Bolt Action) forum page and scroll down to the tenth thread - "Getting Started in LR Shooting - FAQ" Read the articles linked there and other material. Do the same in the Optics forum. After you have read everything three times, and used the search function and the Google search function to fill in the blanks, turn off the computer and go out and shoot.

I think the OP got the help he was seeking and is no longer with us. This is just a guess based upon a few observations, like:
- registration date on SH
- number of questionable posts per day
- can no longer find the OP when doing a search on user name
Wanted to alert others so no one wastes time trying to provide honest help for someone who has apparently already received all the help they needed.
