what do you tech guys recommend? I’m tech stupid.
Free is great but some others are $20 for the first year... for 2-3 phones.

Seriously, you don't need antivirus for an iPhone, as iOS is sandboxed and one app can't affect another. Keep your phone up to date, stay off the fourth page of search results porn and other click bait bullshit, and don't worry about your phone getting the china flu.

Oh, and since both of you have it, make sure you're on a family account with the wife so you can remote lock and wipe your phone via "Find My" in the event you lose it.
