Hey all! Thanks for serving! Every year about this time my mind recalls Tommy Tormanen. I served with him on the “Big E” and later followed him to 1/6, Charlie Co, Weapons Plt, where he died while serving in Desert Storm. I know people get on here all the time and ask for money but I have an idea I would like to float to those of you that would like to have a big part in thanking his son for his father’s sacrifice.
Long Rifles Inc is Marine owned and operated, Chad is a great guy and I have talked with him about building Tommy’s son, Tommy, a custom one off rifle with his dad’s particulars engraved into the action or bolt. Long Rifles makes true masterpieces and if I could afford it I would buy him one on my own. What I would like to do is start a collection and see what we can come up with. We can do $25, $50, $100 or more per person and we can really rock his world.
While we can never arrange a hunt with his dad, we can send a gift of a lifetime that he can take hunting every time he goes.
Don’t send money now, we'll see how much we raise and decide on the rifle and its particulars before we send the money, I am posting on both units facebook page so more Marines can be part of this.
