If you ever go to Orange County, CA, stop by the old one by KNott's that still sounds at the beginning of each month. It is HUGE. Diesel driven. The motor starts, then rises to around 2000 rpm before the siren starts to come up to speed. As the motor decelerates and drop revs, the siren follows as it falls, then you hear the engine rev up and th esiren follows upward. It is the coolest pair of sounds for a siren. I cannot help but think how cool it would be powered by a 427 Side Oiler with a 260* @ .050 duration cam
