What I really want to see is some member/s here to post up all kinds of threads talking about crooked cops. I don’t think I’ve seent that yet. These guys need to be held accountable and I think posting here in the pit would make that happen in the world. Please help this bruh out.

While we all have our 10 percent (worst 10 percent ruin it for the rest of us), I'd just like to see what the constant complainers are doing to make their communities better.

There comes a point where one goes from rightfully complaining about something that is wrong - to bitching about everything to the point where you're just a bitch.

And you're going to have to do something positive to fix what you're bitching about too. Run for office, become an LEO, do community outreach. Otherwise you're still just a bitch with no fortitude.

I say this as a dude who has over a dozen LEO friends that I worked with during my career in the 'Corps. There are some damn good dudes in that company. I couldn't do the job myself as I have a very unchristianly temper, and it got me in hot water several times in uniform. No way could I let someone spit on me, or walk into a house where mom and dad are passed out from drugs, and the kid is in an 18 hour old dirty diaper... and not have a physical response. So I tried my hand as a teacher for a bit after I retired, and now hold a low-level local government position that allows me to also help my wife with her clinic. It is still a way to serve my community.

I also say this as a guy who has had two less than optimal interactions with police officers who insisted on being right, when they weren't. I shut my mouth, let crap play out, and everything worked in my favor in the end. If you think I didn't have at least a dozen interactions like that in the 'Corps, I've got a bridge to sell you in Arizona.

Does this mean I "lick boots" and trust all cops? Not hardly. But I trust the system that I represent. If you don't, you've got countries to your direct north and south that I'm sure you can move to if you want. I'm sure stuff is much more "fair" for you there too.

Much like I said in another post. If you take the group of all 'cops' youll find a curve like in all other groups. There are Saints who run into burning houses, there are devils who frame innocent to the gas chamber. I've met some of each. Most fall in between and I'd say generally with a small bump toward the positive.

As you mentioned, my temper would not allow me to do that job. I've found it best to usually keep mouf shut and ride it out. If I'm polite and reasonable, they usually are as well.

But fuck the ones that disrespect the trust we've put in them to do it right.

Out of aproximately 750,000 peace officers across the United States, one of them did something good or useful. I just don't see anyone willing to "report" on the good side.

It kinda pisses me off when a person bitches about a job they are unwilling or unfit for.

I am willing to bet it's not as much fun bitching about something properly done or anyone showing compassion. Goodness forbid the officer does his job without a shooting or beating someone.

My brother was a sheriff's deputy and a fed for awhile. He has awards for saving people from flash floods in Las Vegas and keeping a jumper from jumping. He took part in every community outreach program for young adults. He had the living shit knocked out of him for protecting a battered woman. He ended up in the hospital with a broken ankle and a severe concussion. He took the beating but the man wasn't able to hurt or kill the woman he was protecting. The man went to prison. I'd have prefered my brother killed the bastard.

Since birth, my children were instructed to be passive and respectful anytime they are dealing with law enforcement. If the officer is a complete dick, let him/her be and do everything told to them. They were taught to go to jail peacefully and don't resist in the least bit. Long story short, show respect. Prove to the officer you are no threat by making sure the officer can see inside the car or whatever and the officer can see the empty hands of all people. We will deal with the law side AFTER you are in jail, unbeaten and fully alive. It's just not asking much.

We know what happened to Saint Floyd but no one asks why the three other people caught with floyd didn't die or received a huge reparation.

People are just too stupid anymore. What does it take to control yourself knowing the cops are going to escalate agression to no less than pain, worse if needed.

I'm only sixty two but I still remember when the cops were the good guys.

I got you fam.

Don’t piss into the wind in the Bear pit. We will all laugh at you.

Charmingmander,

I'm not sure what the intent of your post is.

Along with my above post, I will say that a little respect and courtesy go a long, long way in life.

If you consider that act as boot licking, you sir are the problem. We as decent human beings know the value of courtesy and respect.

I treat everyone, even you, with the respect and courtesy you deserve until you show me I'm wasting my time.

I'm guessing that you have never thanked someone for any type of help, like baggers in a grocery store.

Try it out sometime, believe it or not, most humans will return the small gesture. Even police!

Until the "Good Police" decide to actually clean house and get rid of all the Uniform Hangers.
Until the courts decide to stop being Corrupt, Complicit, Cowardly, Compromised and Complacent.
Until "Law Enforcement" is held accountable to the exact same standards as any Citizen.
Until the "good folks" have enough bad come to their doorstep, that they are finally willing to force a change.

These kind of things happening and the perpetrators getting away with it and there will continue to be many angry and upset voices and people trying to bring such things to light.

The problem being, if all of the above happens, the "supply" will most likely not be able to meet the "demand" for LEOs as almost no one would be willing to accept the job under those conditions. There might be a need to institute some sort of "conscription" (read: draft) for LEOs if the demands can't be met. I don't know that I'd want that either. They'd really have to qualify people carefully.

Perhaps, but I think with decent pay and decent treatment for the Police Officers, there would be plenty to take care of the important job of like actually going after real criminals and real predators. Especially if career paths were more flexible to allow it to be a second job for some.

Now if there isn't enough left over for "revenue collection" or making Karens who "don't like people doing what they don't like" I don't think that would be a great loss.

You would need to get society to actually embrace freedom and stop wanting to make laws against things they don't like but other people like.

With all the dashcams, bodycams, micro management by Sgts and above, and everyone having hi resolution cams on their phones- scrutiny, transparency, and accountability of LE have never been higher, but the democrats and anarchists, because of their shared mental illness, will still post their hate for LE.

Fixed it for you.

I wish,

That everyone got the same enforcement. That government criminality wasn’t overlooked. That government employees didn’t get exceptions to the laws forced on the tax payer by gun point. That gov employees face the same consequences and got the same treatment.

The makers and enforcers of law should be its most strict followers. They should hold themselves to a higher standard and face the same crippling consequences as any other citizen. I find it funny that the same people who white knight for the enforcers are quick to criticize the people who pass the law. I see them as the same.

Isn’t it a civic duty, and even somewhat patriotic to call them out? Afterall, we pay the taxes that fund the salaries and pensions these people recieve.

Allowed to Shit up your own trade w/o consequences is how/why bad raps hold water. It does not matter who you are, if the law does not apply to everyone it applies to no one. If those who are task with enforcing the law allow their side kicks to break same, are they supposed to be rewarded for looking the other way?

Retarded much?

All this pissing and moaning about cops arresting you or your shitbag friends is boring.

Why not post endless threads about shitbag teachers, investment brokers or mail order dildo web sites that shipped your butt plug late?
Did you file a claim?
Sorry yer "package" was late...

You need to remove all punctuation before you can be taken seriously

Here’s my bitch. I95 in GA covers 112 miles, as I recall. Google will announce police reported ahead about every five miles, far more than any other state I’ve traveled.

About six months ago headed back to FL a state troop pulls me over. 76 in a 55. Handed him my DL and CCW, agreed I was doing 76 and must have missed a sign. He walks back to his vehicle, comes back in less than two minutes and tells me to slow it down. Didn’t even say have a nice day.

I have been in florida almost 2 years and aside from waving at them maybe 6 times I have had zero interaction with LEO. Not once was I shot/at ,cuffed n slammed , PR 24 ed , ticketed ,pulled over [thats amazing ] ,frisked , had drugs /evidence planted on me .
You have just not been in the right city or county yet is all. I lived there for 20 years & traveled the whole state for work, trust me there are places you don't want to go to,... There are other places the cops don't do because the locals take out the trash,... no matter what rags or metal they sport.

This. I always hand them the CCW first, then my license behind it, then the reg and insurance. Look him in the eye and be polite. Keep both hands on the wheel.

Goes a long way.

Well here in Texas most likely they will walk up to you with the ticket already written so you can sign it and they can go after the next revenue.
(Unless something interests them and they want to put the boots to you).

Here the police already have all that on their computer screens before they even decide to pull you over.
Their cameras scan the license plates while they are sitting or driving and all that information comes up, including insurance or lack of it (because no insurance = nice juicy ticket).

They have that most places anymore. I just give it to them first so they know that I'm being straight with them. Make them more comfortable and yore more likely t get off easy.

Oh blow smoke! These are PUBLIC civil servants who are hired paid, trained 🙄and pensions all comes from public tax money.

You want a private police force that is beyond scrutiny? Go hire and train one with YOUR private money.

Being a cop isn’t even in the most the top 10 most dangerous jobs in this country yet people constantly gaslight about how dangerous these cops jobs are. One of the biggest reasons their job is dangerous is because the lack of training and piss poor hiring practices, and these hiring practices are getting worse. DEI is out of control.

My best friend in the whole world, the person closest to me, is a cop. he is a lieutenant, a career cop. He agrees with me.

Just the other day their agency’s instructor, and SWAT team member had an ND in a locker room. Another officer has hearing damage now. Why did he have an ND? I’m glad you asked. Because he went to clear his weapon, thought he dropped his mag, dropped the side and pulled the trigger.

Within the last two years, they had another incident where in training, some cop pulled out his gun and shot through a glass window spraying another cop with glass they weren’t even supposed to be pulling their guns, let alone shooting.

No, it’s our goddamn duty to keep cops on their toes and to complain when they screw up. It is also our duty to make sure they have the proper training, equipment, mindset and support to do the job. It is not a duty to canonize them as untouchables. Nor to pretend that there is not a major problem with policing.

I don’t need to go out and do community service or become a cop to criticize those who police me, while being paid by my tax dollars!
